83 meta-rejection

Wow, lots of time has past and nothing of note has happened other than more stories and scripts written, more rejections for my collection, and I’m about to start the new novel.

Speaking of rejections, I’ve given the New Yorker about a year to send me a formal rejection and haven’t heard anything back. It’s kindof funny really, I lowered my expectations from “publish this” to “send me a rejection letter so I can say I’ve been rejected by the New Yorker” and what I got was a sort of meta-rejection in that I didn’t get anything back from them at all.

New Yoker: 1  David: 0

Other than that, the Heinlein contest I entered about a year ago is finally going to announce the winner. The story I sent them wasn’t my strongest work, and I’m looking forward to being able to polish it up and send it out.
